New Rewards Scheme launched....

A new Reward Scheme aimed at our regular bookers has been launched. The scheme is designed to give bookers the opportunity to enjoy and experience the many facilities available at the hotel.

The Bookers Rewards scheme allows bookers to collect points against the number of rooms booked and can also be used when booking meeting facilities.

The bookers can then redeem these points against various items from a bottle of wine in the OGH Brasserie, a night for two in a king room, or even annual membership of revolution.

Holly Marquand, Director of Events says of the new scheme "The OGH has an enormous following amongst the local business community who regularly choose the hotel for both it's location and standards of service". Holly went on to add that "We felt that we should reward this loyalty by introducing a scheme so that the bookers could also enjoy our facilities".

The OGH & Wave Telecom team up....

The Old Government House Hotel & Spa and Wave Telecom have teamed up to bring the latest Wi-Fi Sisco technology to all public areas and meeting rooms throughout the hotel.

After the initial success as launch customer for Purple Patch in Guernsey, The hotel identified a clear need to continue upgrading it's in house technology.

Commenting on the improved system OGH Sales Director, Katie Steer said "We are pleased to upgrade to the new Wi-Fi system to ensure that our corporate client base has the very latest technology available". Katie also went on to say that "As the most technologically advanced hotel in the Channel Islands it is essential that we listen to our customers requirements to ensure we stay ahead".

The new Wi-Fi system will be offered free to all users in the hotel public areas.

As part of an on-going policy by The Old Government House Hotel & Spa to ensure the hotel is at the forefront of the digital revolution a brand new interactive television system was installed this month.

The VDA Interactive system offers every room guest free access to the Internet via their television plus free e-mails, radio and countless music channels. This is in addition to all the key television channels, games console and pay-per-view movies.

Director of Guest Services, Harry Seepaul said " The new system is extremly user-friendly and can be locked to avoid mis-use by children should the parents be away from the room".

The OGH Hotel & Spa was the first hotel in the Channel Islands to install an interactive television system in every bedroom.

Top Awards confirmed on Guernsey's leading Hotel & Spa . .

The Old Government House Hotel & Spa has been awarded the VisitGuernsey Gold Award for hospitality, food and service for the third successive year.

The award is part of the VisitGuernsey (in association with VisitBritain) annual grading scheme that is a requirement for all hotels and guest houses in the Guernsey. In 2005, only 47 Gold Awards were issued throughout the United Kingdom.

The OGH is the only hotel in Guernsey to have achieved Gold Award status.
