Jerome Barbancon - The Chef

Jerome Barbançon...

Jerome Barbancon,Chef de Cuisine, originates from Brittany and trained at the Lycee Hotelier in Dinard. He started his career in 1989 at La Duchesse Anne Restaurant in France and went on to Le Trezen Hotel, Le Manoir des Portes Hotel and the De La Baie Hotel before moving to the two Michelin Sea Grill Jacques Le Divellec Restaurant in Brussels.

In 1995 Jerome joined the three Rosette One-o-One Restaurant at the Sheraton Park Hotel in London before being appointed Second de Cuisine at La Pompadour Restaurant at the Caledonian Hotel in Edinburgh.

In 1998 he moved south to the one Michelin Charlton House Hotel in Somerset prior to his last appointment in England in 2000 as Chef de Cuisine at the award-winning Brockencote Hall in Worcestershire where he achieved four RAC Dining awards, two AA Rosettes and three Couteaux et fourchette guide Michelin. In May 2006, he was awarded two AA Rosettes at The Old Government House Hotel.

Jerome enjoys competition cooking to the highest level and is married with two young children and has homes in both Brittany and St Peter Port.
