Firstly....a little bit about our heritage

Until the mid-19th century, visitors would have called at Government House only to leave their business or personal cards for the Governor's attention. Today, they visit The OGH to enjoy the traditional hospitality of one of the oldest and most prestigious hotels in the Channel Islands.

The hotel's reputation has stood high for generations and The OGH is a familiar term far beyond Guernsey's shores. Royalty has enjoyed its fare and thousands of visitors and islanders have relished its fine food and wines and the comfort of its traditional surroundings, which today, however, encompass every modern facility.
