Category: Art & Culture Date: Tuesday, 22 April 2014 Guernsey is unique in Britain for preserving many of its most traditional crafts and jobs that simply went hand in hand with day to day life, so with that in mind, why not take a day to explore this aspect of the island this coming April? On the 22nd, the National Trust of Guernsey Folk and Costume Museum will be hosting a special open day aimed at educating the masses about the daily trials that dominated life on the island over the past 250 years. For one day only, access to the venue will be completely free of charge and the staff will be on hand to answer any questions you may have about days of old. The museum is located in Saumarez Park. Give yourself an easy journey back to your place of residence afterwards by booking into The Old Government House Hotel, where you can explore even more of the island with the Discover Guernsey package.
