The OGH as it's affectionately known is recruiting for a passionate and creative Chef de Partie to provide outstanding level cuisine for the The Curry Room at The Governor, Brasserie and Event operation.

The Old Government House Hotel in Guernsey, part of Red Carnation Hotel Collection, is a stunning five star property located in the heart of St. Peter Port with amazing views of the surrounding Channel Islands and France. This wonderful Hotel features 63 individually designed bedrooms and suites, an established bar, two restaurants and several function rooms where we are offering our guests a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. 

The OGH as affectionately known is recruiting for a passionate and creative Chef de Partie to provide outstanding level cuisine for the Brasserie, The Curry Room at The Governors and Event operation.

Key responsibilities of the Chef de Partie will include:

  • Setting up the their section 
  • Training junior members of staff 
  • Maintaining high health and safety standards 
  • Section ordering
  • General larder organisation 
  • Confident in running all Kitchen sections

The ideal candidate for the Chef de Partie position will have previous experience in fine dining kitchen within a busy 4 or 5 star, 2/3 rosette environment. You have an NVQ Level 1 and 2 or equivalent and are passionate for providing delicious, fist class food to our guests. We are looking for an enthusiastic, passionate, flexible and hard working person with excellent communication skills.
